Since leaving Colorado on August 20, we have managed to log over 8000 miles. There is a lot to see in 8000 miles. I am grateful to have the opportunity to make a dream trip up to Alaska. On our way out of the Bugaboos, we stopped at the best hot springs I have found so far and after spending a half day soaking our sore muscles, we started the journey. We wanted to get to Alaska quickly and didn’t spend too much time being tourists in Canada. We were rewarded after our 3 day drive, arriving in Fairbanks, with the Northern Lights. They are magical and a must experience on anyone’s bucket list. Unfortunately the weather would not hold out for us for the rest of our visit and we were rained on until we left. We took shifts driving to get to Squamish, British Columbia as quickly as we could.  We are now enjoying sunny Summer again and back to climbing cliff sides. I am super psyched to start the west coast portion of my journey.

Welcome to Alaska!
